CD PUB is, above all, a family affair. It all began in October 2002 with in-store sales promotion, and the entire family was involved in the first activities: Carmen (the founder) and Yoann (her son) worked as presenters and demonstrators, and Dominique (co-founder) as a microphone presenter.
CD PUB is a big Family and the “Human” aspect has always been at the heart of the company’s concerns, because it is not only the fuel that drives it forward but it is also and above all the reflection of the image of CD PUB, our first showcase .
“At CD PUB we don’t recruit qualified candidates but candidates with potential…”
Indeed, for us the diploma criterion is not essential, because the positions offered do not require specific qualifications but rather behavioral skills, such as adaptability, organizational skills or autonomy. We are primarily looking for people who will convey a positive image of the company through their professionalism : diligence, punctuality, communication skills or responsiveness are criteria highly valued at CD PUB.
However, the qualities expected are obviously not the same depending on the position offered and the profiles also differ:
Students or young people entering the workforce will be given event or street marketing roles that require them to be in a certain physical condition.
E.g.: distributing flyers or scanning entrances for several hours outdoors, wearing a mascot costume, towing a mobile display on a bicycle, etc.
This allows them to develop experiences of the working world, to facilitate their entry into working life, to acquire knowledge useful for their professional life and in some cases, has contributed to the development of a project or the discovery of new directions.
It is also important for our company to be socially engaged by contributing to the professional integration of seniors who represent a significant portion of our workforce. This is not for image reasons, but above all because they bring real added value to the company thanks to their experience/expertise, autonomy, flexibility, perspective, etc.
They will mainly be found on commercial animation missions which require a certain gift of the gab , autonomy or even a taste for contact and communication. However at CD PUB, we advocate the diversity of teams as much as possible, whether in terms of gender or age. Intergenerational diversity helps to promote greater social cohesion , stronger solidarity and even better productivity at work. Ex: for event missions or in gas stations, it is common to have mixed young and senior teams, because the latter are key collaborators, who have expertise, maturity and are not easily impressed.
Merchandiser positions are mainly occupied by men due to the heavy loads they have to carry, while brand representatives are primarily focused on persuasion and negotiation skills.
In any case, it’s not gender or age that influences the type of assignment offered, but rather the person’s ability to handle the assignment in the most professional manner possible. At CD PUB, versatility is highly valued. Our staff are often found working on both event assignments and in-store sales promotion assignments.
This is what a large part of our employees who have been with us for some time like: the diversification of missions for less monotony .
